Brian Miranda

Brian Miranda is Senior Managing Director on the Capital Markets team. In that capacity, he is responsible for pricing and trading Fannie Mae MBS and Ginnie Mae securities, as well as Freddie Mac loans. He is also involved with structuring multifamily debt.

Miranda has nearly 30 years of experience in multifamily finance. Prior to joining NewPoint’s predecessor Barings Multifamily Capital in 2012, he was with Berkadia and its predecessors since 1994, initially working on the acquisition of more than $100 billion of commercial mortgage servicing rights before moving to capital markets in 1997. In 2001, Miranda became part of Berkadia's Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac lending group where, in addition to pricing and trading Fannie Mae securities, he was one of the key managers in charge of growing the platform. Since 2001, he has traded over $37 billion of Fannie Mae MBS and Ginnie Mae securities with Wall Street and regional investment banks. Before joining Berkadia, Miranda was a Federal Bank Investigator for the FDIC.

Miranda holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth.
