Will Lamey

Will Lamey currently serves as Senior Managing Director, Head of Asset Management. He brings NewPoint more than 25 years of experience in investment services across commercial mortgage servicing, debt and equity asset management, alternative asset management, fixed-income investment servicing and other operations. 

Before joining NewPoint, Lamey served as Managing Director, Workouts for 1st Service Solutions, a leading CMBS borrower advocacy firm. Prior to that, he was Head of Insurance Risk Management for ORIX Corporation USA, managing the corporate insurance program for ORIX USA and its subsidiaries. Lamey also held the role of Managing Director, Operations at ORIX, overseeing the servicing and administration of the firm's book of proprietary investments. He joined ORIX by way of RED Capital Group (an ORIX subsidiary, now part of Lument), where he led debt servicing and asset management for RED's Agency and Proprietary Lending book of business, oversaw Special Servicing and Risk Mitigation, and managed text credit debt and equity asset management for LIHTC syndicator RED Capital Advisors. Prior to joining RED Capital Group, Lamey held similar servicing and asset management leadership positions at Greystone Servicing Corporation and Prudential.

Lamey is active in industry groups and committees sponsored by the Mortgage Bankers Association, and was a past Chair of the FHA Servicers subcommittee and the Ginnie Mae Working Group. In addition, he is a past Chair of Fannie Mae's Chief Asset Manager forum. Lamey earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Speech Communication
