Cal Masterson

Cal Masterson is a Director at NewPoint Real Estate Capital based in Dallas. He focuses on originations, transaction management, and capital advisory services for the seniors housing, healthcare, and multifamily sectors.

Prior to joining NewPoint, Masterson was an Associate at Alder View Capital, supporting business development and marketing efforts through in-depth financial analysis, research, and the preparation of models, presentations, and proposals. In addition, he brings valuable experience from his role as an Investment Banking Analyst at Lument, where he specialized in sell-side advisory services for seniors housing, healthcare assets, and ancillary business lines, including home health, hospice, and therapy companies. During his tenure at Lument, Masterson successfully closed seniors housing and healthcare transactions with a combined enterprise value exceeding $725 million. Before joining Lument, Masterson served as an Asset Manager at predecessor firm ORIX Real Estate Capital, managing a Freddie Mac loan portfolio encompassing over 50 multifamily properties with more than 2,000 units and over $135 million in unpaid loan balances. 

Masterson earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business with a concentration in Finance from Rhodes College.
