Larry Perez

Larry Perez is a Director on the originations team focused on multifamily financing solutions. Based in Houston, TX, Perez supports clients nationwide with executions through NewPoint’s Agency, HUD/FHA and Proprietary loan programs. In addition, his wider capital markets financing relationships add value to clients in need of more creative financing solutions.

Perez has 15+ years of multifamily finance and investment experience and has closed more than $3.5 billion in transactions over the course of his career. Prior to joining NewPoint in 2023, he was a Director at Walker & Dunlop focused on Agency, HUD/FHA and CMBS financing. He has held finance positions at both JLL and Berkadia, structuring debt for multifamily and a variety of other commercial real estate asset classes, including retail, mixed-use, industrial, self-storage and hospitality. Earlier in his career, Perez managed the acquisitions team and secured acquisition financing for an Omaha-based national multifamily investor – he was also the firm’s pilot, logging over 600 hours between 2006 and 2011, with flights in and out of more than 30 airports across the Midwest, Northeast, and Southeast regions.

Perez holds a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Texas A&M University.
