David Sondesky

David Sondesky is the Head of Asset Management for Proprietary Products where he oversees an asset management team responsible for managing an approximately $7 billion portfolio of debt investments across the capital stack and property types. With more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, Mr. Sondesky brings deep expertise in underwriting, credit, and asset management across a broad range of loan products and market cycles. 

Prior to joining NewPoint in 2023, Mr. Sondesky worked at Arbor Realty Trust where he served as the Head of Underwriting and Credit for Arbor’s Private Label platform. He was responsible for overseeing a team of underwriters and analysts that were successful in originating over $2 billion of CRE loans that were securitized across five CMBS conduit pools. Earlier in his career, he also held leadership roles at Morningstar Credit Ratings LLC and Capmark Finance. 

Mr. Sondesky earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Kutztown University.
