Jerry Baglien

Jerry Baglien is the Chief Executive Officer of NewPoint Real Estate Capital, where he leads the strategic direction and growth of the firm. He also serves as Managing Director, Head of Real Estate at Benefit Street Partners, as well as Co-President of Franklin BSP Realty Trust, Inc (NYSE: FBRT).

Prior to joining Benefit Street Partners in 2016, Mr. Baglien was Director of Fund Finance at GTIS Partners LP, where he led finance and operations across the firm’s investment funds. Earlier in his career, he served as Accounting Manager at iStar Inc., responsible for oversight of loans and special investments.

Mr. Baglien holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Oregon and a Master of Business Administration from DePaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business.
