John DeWitt

John DeWitt is a Senior Managing Director on the originations team. He is based in Washington, D.C., and focuses on conventional multifamily financing across NewPoint’s Agency, FHA/HUD, proprietary and third-party lending programs. DeWitt brings more than 25 years of mortgage brokerage experience to NewPoint. Before joining NewPoint in 2022, DeWitt was a Managing Director at PGIM Real Estate, a Prudential division, where he concentrated on Agency, debt fund and bridge loan originations. Throughout his career, DeWitt has held positions at several firms across the industry, including Johnson Capital, Reilly Mortgage Group and Freddie Mac. His clients range from small private owners to institutional funds.

DeWitt holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The University of Utah.
