Juan Aragon

Juan Aragon currently serves as a Managing Director, Deputy Chief Underwriter and is focused on Freddie Mac Multifamily and Fannie Mae DUS® executions. He brings more than 18 years of commercial real estate capital markets credit experience to NewPoint. Prior to joining NewPoint in 2021, Aragon was the head of screening and transaction management at Sabal Capital Partners, where he helped launch their Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac conventional product lines and was responsible for the front-end approval of these Agency transactions. Previously, Aragon was a Deputy Chief Underwriter at Hunt Real Estate Capital and worked in originations and underwriting at Berkeley Point Capital and Freddie Mac Multifamily. Earlier in his career, Aragon held various origination and underwriting positions with LaSalle Bank Real Estate Capital Markets and Wachovia Securities.

Aragon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business-Economics from the University of California, Riverside.
