Katie French

Katie French serves as Deputy Chief Underwriter at NewPoint Real Estate Capital, where she oversees a team of underwriters and analysts and leads the development and training of NewPoint’s underwriting talent. With more than 15 years of experience in multifamily finance, Ms. French brings extensive expertise in front-end screening, credit analysis, and navigating evolving agency guidelines and policies. 

Ms. French joined NewPoint in 2019 and has held positions of increasing responsibility, including Senior Underwriter and Underwriting Manager before assuming her current role in 2025. Prior to joining NewPoint, she held underwriting and asset management roles at Lantower Residential, PNC Real Estate Capital, and Oak Grove Capital. 

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Texas A&M University.
