Ken Leaton

Ken Leaton is a Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets at NewPoint Real Estate Capital. In this role, he oversees agency capital markets strategy, pricing, trading, and execution across Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Ginnie Mae products, partnering closely with production teams to deliver certainty of execution and strong outcomes for clients.

Mr. Leaton brings more than a decade of experience in agency finance and capital markets. Prior to joining NewPoint, he spent more than eight years on the Agency Multifamily Capital Markets team at Capital One, where he helped manage the agency capital markets desk and served as a primary point of contact for pricing and trading inquiries. In that capacity, he evaluated billions of dollars of agency transactions annually and traded more than $4 billion of Fannie Mae and Ginnie Mae securities.

Mr. Leaton began his career at Fannie Mae, where he worked in capital markets pricing and valuation, supporting trading, risk management, and financial reporting for Fannie Mae’s book of business. 

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Michigan and is a CFA® charterholder.
