Ross Heath

Ross Heath serves as Managing Director, Asset Management at NewPoint Real Estate Capital, where he leads a team overseeing the firm’s multifamily loan portfolio across its Agency and NewPoint Impact platforms. With four decades of experience in commercial real estate and asset management, Mr. Heath provides leadership in credit risk oversight, portfolio performance, and client relationship management. He works closely with internal stakeholders and agency partners to evaluate credit requests, manage loan workouts, and develop loss mitigation strategies, while mentoring team members and fostering workflow efficiency and professional growth. 

Mr. Heath joined NewPoint in 2021 through its acquisition of Barings Multifamily Capital. His earlier experience includes senior roles at Fannie Mae, Prudential Asset Resources, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), where he specialized in portfolio risk management, loan workouts, and loss mitigation. 

He earned an Associate of Science in Accounting from Tyler Junior College, a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Texas at Tyler, and a Master of Business Administration in Real Estate Analysis from the University of North Texas.
