Sean Patterson

Sean Patterson serves as FHA Deputy Chief Underwriter at NewPoint Real Estate Capital, where he focuses on the underwriting and execution of FHA‑insured multifamily transactions. In this role, he provides technical leadership across deal structuring, credit analysis, and HUD coordination to support high‑quality, complex multifamily financings.

Mr. Patterson brings more than a decade of experience in FHA underwriting and HUD‑insured financing. He joined NewPoint after 10 years at Greystone, where he served as Deputy Chief Underwriter for the firm’s FHA platform. During his tenure at Greystone, he underwrote a wide range of FHA‑insured multifamily and healthcare transactions and collaborated closely with HUD program centers nationwide. He is a HUD‑certified MAP and LEAN underwriter.

Prior to Greystone, Mr. Patterson began his career at Cosmopolitan Capital Funding (formerly Metropolitan Capital Funding), where he supported FHA underwriting and assisted in structuring and executing HUD‑insured loans across multiple asset types.

Mr. Patterson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Marist College, with a minor in Mathematics.
