NewPoint’s Proprietary Lending Team and Head of Production Named 2023 Multifamily Influencers by GlobeSt. Real Estate Forum

We are proud to share that GlobeSt.com and Real Estate Forum have recognized a group of NewPoint professionals as 2023 Multifamily Influencers.

NewPoint’s Proprietary Lending Team – led by David Brickman, Chief Executive Officer; Mark Silverstein, Senior Managing Director, Proprietary Lending; and Rob Wrzosek, President - Affordable Strategies – was selected among the most influential teams within the multifamily industry for its track record of developing alternative financing solutions for multifamily investors. The team has already brought NewPoint Bridge, NewPoint Impact and, most recently, NewPoint BTR to the market, and has several innovative solutions in development to supplement Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and HUD/FHA offerings. In addition, the team recently completed NewPoint’s first securitization with a $199 million Freddie Mac Q-Deal backed by eight multifamily bridge loans.  

Of equal note, Geri Borger Urgo, Head of Production, was recognized as an individual Multifamily Influencer. She joined NewPoint’s inaugural leadership team in 2021 and has since worked to expand our finance platform’s originations prowess. Within a year, Borger Urgo helped triple the size of NewPoint’s Agency and Proprietary Lending originations team, and, under her guidance, NewPoint rapidly grew its origination volume to nearly $6 billion in its first full year of operations – a 1,000% increase compared with the 2020 volume of our predecessor firm.
