Joe Savarese
Managing Director
Joe Savarese is a Managing Director on the Proprietary Lending team, where he is responsible for the structuring, underwriting and credit monitoring activities within the NewPoint’s bridge and preferred equity business lines. Prior to joining NewPoint in 2021, Savarese was the Head of Product Execution for Lument’s balance sheet products, focused on managing a team of structuring and underwriting professionals. He previously held positions at ACRES Capital, Indigo Asset Management, Sheridan Asset Management and Legg Mason, focused on real estate and other forms of alternative credit.
Savarese holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Bentley University and a Master of Science in Finance from Boston College. He is a CFA® charterholder.
