Michael Golfman

Michael Golfman is a Managing Director on the Proprietary Lending team, where he focuses on bringing new lending products to market, including partnership negotiations, capital optimization and business strategy. He has over 15 years of experience in commercial lending and has structured more than $2 billion in volume across 170+ closed transactions. Prior to joining NewPoint in 2021, Golfman was a Director at Hunt Real Estate Capital (now known as Lument), where he was the Head of Product Execution for the balance sheet lending division. In that role, Golfman helped stand up and oversee multiple business lines, including bridge lending, DLA mezzanine financing, a proprietary fixed rate product and CMBS. Previously, Golfman spent eight years at a family office in Denver focused on multifamily, single-family and condo development in Colorado and Texas. 

Golfman holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration focused on Real Estate and Construction Management from the University of Denver and has been a CFA® charterholder since 2015.
